Anti-social behaviour during summer

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding ASB - Nuisance (When a person causes trouble, annoyance or suffering to a community), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

SCHOOLS ARE OUT – and so are the kids!😎

It’s now time to relax with your family and friends in the sun.🌞

As much as we love seeing all the local community coming together for different events over the summer months, this can cause an increase in anti-social behaviour in our local parks, recreational grounds and Chorley town centre.

We are tough on Anti-Social behaviour and those identified will be placed on an ABC (anti-social behaviour contact) to prevent our young people from causing alarm and distress, and to kerb their behaviour by abiding to the rules we put into place.

Several local youths have been placed on ABC’s to prevent further anti-social behaviour and to encourage better behaviour when out and about Chorley. Once on an ABC the youths will have to abide by these rules. If any of the youths carry on with their anti-social antics, then other consequences will be put in place such as picking up litter and washing cars – all very welcomed by their parents may I add!

As a neighbourhood policing team, we want you as a community, to have the best summer possible by liaising with us to tackle poor behaviour and to prevent it from happening.

If there is anything that you would like to inform us about please contact

local town centre Police Community Support Officer Alice at: 7977@lancashire.police.uk
local town centre Police Officer Damien at: 8412@lancashire.police.uk

We work closely with local schools and partners to make Chorley a safer place for all.

Thank you from myself and my team for your continued support and working with us to prevent anti-social Behaviour, making Chorley a better place for everyone.

PCSO 7977 Alice
